Hard to believe another month has come and gone. We have been home with Leah now for eight months! She is getting so big and it makes me kind-of sad. I was helping out at Mia's school the other day and I brought Leah with me. One of the teacher's said "what happened to your little baby she's not a baby anymore". I almost started crying right then and there. I'm not sure why it makes me sad but it just seems like yesterday we were in China and now she is almost 1 1/2 years old.
I took Leah to the mall today to play and of course do a little shopping. I took her to see the Easter Bunny and get her picture taken. She did not like the bunny at all. She was signing "all done" while they were trying to take her picture. She is trying to say more words now. She can say buh-bye, turtle, Cinderella (or as she says rella). She is constantly saying hi to anybody who looks her way. She calls me MaMa but also calls Mia and herself MaMa too!
Leah is getting really good at using a fork and spoon. She loves strawberries when I mash them up and mix in some sugar. She is a meat and potatoes kind-of girl too. She is starting to climb up on furniture or anything else that looks like it would help her get to what she wants! I think she is going to be an actress or comedian when she grows up she knows how to pull out the sad face or the I'm going to cry now face because you just told me no. She likes to do laughing baby face, sad baby face and scared baby face (she learned this one by me taking her to see the Easter bunny today)! She is such a busy little girl who only takes a rest when it's bedtime. We joke that we are lucky to have Leah because being "older" parents she sure does keep us young :)
Big sister Mia has changed so much too. She is getting more independent and more confident. She got a scooter and is getting better at it everyday. She hopes to ride a two-wheeler this year too. That's a big step because in the past she showed no interest in riding a bike at all. I don't think she even rode her bike last summer. I told Mark he was in charge of teaching her to ride a two-wheeler. I would be too much of a worry-wart (maybe that's why Mia didn't want to learn because she knew I would freak out)?!?!?
I hope you and your families have a blessed Easter!
