Here comes Summer

Hard to believe that school is almost out and summer is about to begin. I'm looking forward to sleeping in that's if Mia & Leah sleep in. I'm not looking forward to entertaining a 7 and 1 1/2 year old! They both love to play outside so I think we will be spending a lot of time at some parks this summer.

This past weekend we got out the sprinkler as it was 90 degrees here and the girls had a lot of fun. I didn't think Leah would like the cold water but after she tested it out by putting just her hands in it there was no stopping her! She loves and wants to do everything big sister does so when Mia started drinking the water Leah had to try it, and try it, and try it again too!

Mia is taking swim lessons right now. There are only two other kids in her class which are boys and the teacher is a boy too. She is not used to being the only girl so she was a bit intimitated and nervous in the beginning but now she has started to relax and do her thing. One day after swim lessons she was complaining about a stomach ache and I ended up taking her to the med center which then sent me to ER. We didn't get home until midnight but she is fine and felt much better when we left. Let me tell you, I don't EVER want to do that again!!! Poor thing she was in a lot of pain but she was a trooper and a brave big girl. (She hates it when I call her a "little girl"). Mia got to read a petition at church last week and also sing in the choir. She was so excited to be able to participate at her school church. It melts my heart to see her embracing religion and enjoying all the new things she learns at school.

Leah is growing up so fast. She is testing all her limits. She is willing to try anything once and try it twice if you tell her NO!! She is talking a lot more and trying to say new words. Her favorite word right now is no, especially if you tell her it's bedtime! She likes to help me unload the dishwasher and points to which cupboard each item should go in. She likes to unload it even if the dishes aren't clean yet! She definitely makes life interesting around here :)
