| Day 3: The Great Wall and Cloisonne Factory We started out the day touring the Cloisonne factory just outside of Beijing. Its the same one we toured 6 years ago, and much hasn't changed, but the prices. We bought a few small things and Mia bought a butterfly ornament. Next we headed to the Great Wall. It wasn't the same section we toured in 2004, so it was great seeing a different section of the Giant Dragon. The 2 things we noticed about this section was first, it was a very popular area, second, it was super steep, as the photo's show. We a short way up the steepest side, and then decided to head to the other side, as it wasn't as steep. Mia did a great job and hung in there for all we did. After the Great Wall we went to a great Chinese restaurant. It was best meal we had since we've been here. ( I hope, I feel the same way six hours from now.) LOL Tomorrow its the Forbidden City and Hutong tour. Mia has been looking forward to the rickshaw ride for so long. I sure hope she enjoys it. |
