School's Out

Hard to belive our little girl is done with preschool and will be in kindergarten next year. I cried when I dropped her off at school on her last day which was
May 22nd. An end to another chapter of her life. It's going by all so fast.

Mia has been a busy girl lately. She performed in her ballet show in May and she did so good. Each girl in her class was dressed up as a dog. Mia was a dalmation and she looked so cute. She thought she might be a little nervous being on stage and having lots of people watch but her ballet teacher prepared them really well and everyone did wonderfully!

We travelled to Connecticut in April to visit Mark's brother and we were a little worried about the long car ride but we took two days and Mia was a great passenger. We traveled through Canada and we had to show them our passports but Mia kept calling them our "sports cards".

We just got back from a trip to Indianapolis for Mark's nephew's graduation. Mia had a great time with her cousins and just loves following them everywhere they go. It's times like these that I wish all of our family lived closer.

New things about Mia: she likes to play football with dad, likes to watch Barbie movies and play Barbies, and likes to help me in the garden.

Update on our wait for Mia's sister - China has referred children through March 14, 2006. Our paperwork was logged in on April 19,2006 so we are getting closer but we still don't anticipate any news until possibly December of this year. Of course we are hoping it will be sooner but that doesn't seem too realistic.
