I wish I could show you any pictures of our trip for my brothers ordination, but in all truth there aren't any. We never made it out of the state of Michigan.
Friday, our flight out of Grand Rapids was fine, and we all had a good lunch while we were waiting for our 1:00 flight out of Detroit for Hartford. We actually taxied out to the runway, but there we sat for 2 hours on the plane, until they decided we didn't have enough fuel to make the trip, and then NWA cancelled our flight. OK, we can handle that....when is the next flight? Well, after we waited over 3 hours in line, ( along with a few thousand other people), we were told our next flight wouldn't be till Saturday night. Since we were returning on Sunday morning, we decided just to get the next flight back to GR. Ann and Mia were able to get the last 2 seat on the last flight to Grand Rapids, which was at 11:00. Tim and I were able to get on that flight, via the stand by list. Mia finally ran out of gas at around 11:00. She simply put her head down on Ann and fell asleep. She slept the whole flight home. We drove back to our house, and got to sleep alittle after 12:30 AM. What a day.
It was a very long day, but Mia never had a sad moment. She had a great time playing and teasing Uncle Toe ( Tim). Ann did a fantastic job, of packing toys and snacks to keep her entertained the whole day. We constantly, had people saying, how can she still be going so strong? The rest of us were dead tired, but she just keep the smile going and enjoyed every moment. I guess, we as adults can definitely learn alot from our children sometimes, hey.
