Home projects...DONE

Hello, and I'm sorry I haven't updated the site for a few weeks, but we've been really busy at home with our remodeling projects. Memorial weekend was a whirlwind. Ann moved all the furniture out of our bedroom, primed and painted it, all in one day. I stained the deck, and took care of the yard and flowers. Mia....well, as you can see in the picture, was taking it easy pointing out where I missed in the yard and picking our flowers.

Ann and I also moved all the furniture out from upstairs down into the garage, to make way for the new carpet to be installed last week. Ann also painted the upstairs room. Its funny, perhaps because it was the final thing to do, but the furniture was alot easier to bring back upstairs then it was taking it out. That was our Memorial weekend. Not to much fun, but we sure did get many things done around the house and the upstairs is now ready for either of the girls to use. Mia is saying she wants to go up there, but I'm not to sure that's a good idea, with the bathroom being so far away (ha-ha). Perhaps, I should get a 5 gallon bucket for upstairs.
Last weekend, we went to a friends house for dinner. They also adopted from China and we met them at one of the Bethany meeting we attended. Their daughter Makena is so cute, and is so big for her age. I think she is just over 2.5 years old, and she is easily a few inches taller than Mia. Mia had a very good time at their house, and loved playing with Makena and her older sisters. This was a first, but Mia really didn't want to leave once we got into the van. She put up a good stall tactic, but we won in the end. ( lets hear it for the Mama and Baba, Hurray !).
We are heading to visit cousin Joshua this weekend, so hopefully I will have some good photos of him and Mia to share next week. Its our little test of how it will be flying with Mia, but at the rate China is moving on referrals, she may be in high school before we travel. ( Just kidding, I hope)
Mark
