Another year older

Mia is now the big 7 year-old. We celebrated with a kid party, a family party and of course dinner at Chuck E Cheese!! We had the kid party at home as Mia loves the whole planning process, decorating and games. The theme was penguins. We played penguin games and went sledding. The girls all seemed to have had a good time. For her birthday gift (thanks Mark) Mia has "adopted" a penguin. She was in awe about the whole thing. She got a picture of her penguin and information on the species of the penguin. It is a Galapagos penguin which lives on Galapagos Island near Ecuador (geography lesson for you). It is hard to believe that she is seven years old already! Our little girl is growing up so fast. We love watching her get so excited about life around her. She loves going to school and was so bored when we got the big snow storm and was off of school for two days being at home with Mom and lil' sister isn't as fun as school.

Speaking of lil' sister she is now walking and stumbling and falling and bumping her head (you get the picture). She keeps her MaMa very busy during the day and wants only her BaBa during the night. She still isn't sleeping thru the night (poor BaBa). She likes to wear hats and not just one at a time! She wants them all on at once and it makes her quite top heavy and she usually tumbles down to the ground. She still likes to eat anything and everything.

I am looking forward to the snow melting and us being able to play out in the backyard now that Leah is mobile. She is a busy little girl that never stops so getting her outside and running around will hopefully wear her out a bit!
