Mia's school year so far

Mia is just loving school.  Currently, she is going 5 days a week, but only (1) of those days is a full day.  She is the only kid in her class who isn't going full days, and boy, is she letting us know it.  She will tell us, each day, that she wants to go full days, but we want to ease her into it.  We will add (1) additional day at the beginning of October, and perhaps another later in the month.  I guess, mom and dad, have to realize she is ready to handle them.  (sniffle..sniffle)

Mia is making many new friends at school.  She even tells us she has a boy friend.  Well, at least to her, he is her boy friend.  I'm not to sure the boy's all that crazy about it.  Last night, she read a few sentences to us from a school book of hers.  It was the first time and very special.  One of our worries going into this school year was Mia going to like the dress code?  Well, that worry was easily removed, as she loves her school uniform, and wears them even after she gets home from school.

If you didn't know it, Mia loves to do art crafts. She will sit for hours, cutting, taping and coloring her projects.  She works very hard at her creations and loves sharing them with others.  She has given some of her things to her teacher from last year, the school principle, her classmates, and we have mailed a few  things to relatives.   We really love seeing her find an interest she does totally from her own motivation.
