"I may have little eyes....."

For the last week or so, Mia kept saying to us, "I may have small eyes, but I can see really far." Not giving it much thought, or wondering what show she heard that on, we didn't pay much attention to it. Well, after almost a week of her periodically saying this, we finially asked her, "Mia, who told you, that you have little eyes?". Her response was, that a boy in her class said to her that she has small eyes. It hurt me to hear this, but it was bound to happen or come up that she looks different than the other kids in her class. Mia's response spoke volumes about how strong of a girl we are so blessed to call our daughter. No boy is going to push my little girl around. Lets here it for that Hunan spice in her. :)

I should add, that the kids in her class had their hearing and sight checked around this time, so perhaps while the kids were waiting in line, they started talking and noticing each others eyes. I'm sure the boy didn't mean anything by it, and Mia still plays and laughs with this boy, so there are no hard feelings from her side. Mia tells us stories about this boy making her laugh by blowing on her long hair while they are standing in line at school. She thinks its so funny.
