Mothers Day

We had a very nice Mother's Day on Sunday. My mother (Nai-Nai) was down this weekend to watch Mia, while Ann and I went to a wedding on Saturday. Mia was so excited to have Nai-Nai to watch her. Mia couldn't get rid of us fast enough. She even didn't bother to come give us hugs and kisses when we were ready to leave. She just blew them to Ann. She kept my mom pretty busy on Saturday night. They played and played and played. They also made a pizza, which Mia loves to do.
On Sunday morning, both Ann and Nai-Nai had corsages from Mia to wear to church. Mia while in school, also made a bracelet for Ann to wear, which she did. Mia was so proud of it.
After mass, Mia and I gave Ann her other presents. Ann received a necklace with her name written in Chinese, and both Mia an Ann received matching Chinese "red thread" bracelets to wear. Mia thought that was so cool, that she and Ann have the same bracelet. For those of you who don't remember or know what the Chinese "red thread" symbolizes, its from an old Chinese proverb that says: An invisible red thread connects those who are destined to meet, regardless of time, place, or circumstance.
The thread may stretch or tangle, but will never break.

Sorry the blog hasn't been updated until now. Its been a very busy Spring.
