Another year has come and gone. Another year to be thankful for our little peanut. How different our lives would be without her. Now if only 2008 would bring her a sister. The wait is still long with no relief in sight but we manage thanks to Mia.
Christmas was great. My best present was watching Mia and how excited and extremely grateful she was as she unwrapped all of her presents. Thank you everyone for spoiling her yet again!
Santa made a visit to PaPa & Nai Nai's house on Christmas Eve. She knew the drill and jumped right up on his lap when he sat down. She was amazed at how Santa knew just what she wanted. She kept saying "Santa is so smart"! She was a great little Santa's helper helping Nai Nai hand out presents. Nai Nai would tell Mia who the present was for and then Mia would take it to that person. The last present was for her and Nai Nai said this one is for you and she said "me, Mia?" It had princess wrapping paper so she was thrilled.
LaLa was in Florida visiting Uncle Bud and Aunt Dot and when we dropped her off at the airport Mia was amazed that there was one airplane that would take LaLa to Florida and one (just one) that would bring her back. We celebrated with LaLa the day she flew back. Mia was so good waiting patiently to open "all" the presents. She had a great time dancing with Kyleigh and Shelbie and yes Uncle Jim. Mia just adores her older cousin and Kyleigh is about the only person that Mia will talk to on the phone.
We then celebrated Christmas with PaPa Cookie and Cindy the Saturday after Christmas. Growing up I don't remember Christmas lasting so long!! Mia went sledding with her cousins and all she talks about was how Kyleigh and her went down on the same sled together.
Mia still loves school and was actually disappointed when school was canceled due to an ice storm. I know that won't last past preschool. She is growing up so fast and I can't believe that she is going to be four years old in less than a month. She is so easy-going that she makes being a parent so easy.
Hope everyone has a great 2008!
Ann
